The Holy Martyr Tsarevich Alexei church, Amur region
The church of Tsarevich Alexei was built in honor of the patron saint of the city, the Holy Martyr Tsarevich Alexei, the son of Nicholas II, the last Russian emperor. Svobodny city was founded in 1912 on Tsarevich Alexei's birthday and was originally named Alexeyevsk (until 1917). The icons on the second level are dedicated to the stages of life of the Tsarevich and his parents.
